I received 2000 pages of discovery and a bunch of DVDs for a First Degree Murder Case. Problem is I got all this stuff three days before the pre-trial date. I had to give away my hogs tickets and forgo any Labor Day celebrations.
It was worth it. After a contested hearing several people followed me out of court to ask for my cards. This makes me feel like I did a decent job. We were able to extend the preparation time for the case. Unfortunately my client is still incarcerated, but he is in my thoughts everyday. I firmly believe him to be innocent.
As a little rock criminal defense lawyer, sometimes these things happen. If you are not committed to your clients then this job is not for you.
As always, please send me any questions you want answered or feel free to email me.
